"Hideaway"

Long shadows stretch over the land and the water of the bayou.
Egrets seemly float forever gliding through pathways of aging trees .
Bayou waters are the roadways within the still, steamy, silent swamp.
Gators float log like, frogs bark dog like in the dark still water.
There is a quiet with only the chirps of crickets or occasionally a bird
call to break the quiet ambiance of the moment.
A curtain of mist hangs in the distance giving limit to only a local view.
A small cabin sits near water's edge on highest ground to give rest
and shelter for hunter, fisherman, trapper, or one seeking solitude
from a hectic world. Over all else this is a setting for a tranquil
moment in life.
